Submissions Open – Research into innovation and tech funding in climate adaptation and resilience
The FT Hub is conducting research to understand more about funding models for tech and innovation in climate resilience and adaptation programs within the FCDO. This requires a deeper understanding about the current ecosystem and landscape of tech and innovation in the climate adaptation and resilience sphere. The aim of the research is to produce a topic brief providing a rapid ecosystem scan of existing funding models for tech and innovation within climate change and look at models could be adapted by an FCDO programme to fill gaps within the funding in the space.

We are seeking an expert in grant funding models to support technology and innovation in the climate resilience and adaptation space.
In order to complete the tasks outlined above, the following skills and experience are required:
Demonstrated expertise and understanding of FCDO rules and regulations, include regulations and implications around ODA funding, CDEL funding, and the Frascati Manual.
Demonstrated understanding of different funding models and mechanisms that are used in the climate and adaptation and resilience space.
Expertise in the climate adaptation and resilience space, including a familiarity with a broad range of climate adaptation and resilience programming.
Strong analytical skills.
The following skills and experience are preferred but not required:
Experience in conducting programmatic reviews, advising on design and programme structure, assessing and evaluating the fit of programme designs, including funding models.
Ability to distil technical and regulatory documents into a concise but comprehensive overview.
Strong writing and communication skills.
We are seeking an independent consultant or research partner for the following scope of work.
