Submissions Open - Advising on the requirements for identification and registration systems to support deduplication in humanitarian contexts in Ethiopia
The FT Hub is looking for (an) identity registration and deduplication technical consultant(s) with extensive experience in humanitarian contexts, particularly in the area of a lack of comprehensive and streamlined digitalised identification and registration systems for beneficiaries, to support the demand-led exploration, root cause analysis, and market and landscape analysis of key identification and duplication challenges identified in Ethiopia.
Deadline for applications: 20th of January 2025 (08:00 GMT)
In Ethiopia the FT Hub has consulted with key stakeholders to identify the cross-sectoral challenge of a lack of comprehensive and streamlined digitalised identification and registration systems for beneficiaries, resulting in missed opportunities for impact and duplication of assistance in humanitarian contexts in Ethiopia.
The FT Hub and key ecosystem actors recognise that there is an opportunity to address these challenges through frontier or emerging technologies. As part of the FT Hub’s demand-led approach to deeply understand the context and collaboratively identify, co-design and test emerging or frontier technology to address the stated challenges, we are seeking a identification / deduplication technical expert to:
Undertake a market and landscape analysis,
Make recommendations of specific evidence-supported, demand-led use cases for addressing identified problem statements.
Co-facilitate a validation and refinement workshop leading to the verification of specific use cases for solution design to be addressed with frontier solutions in a future phase of work.
The FT Hub will prioritise local or regional consultants who have extensive experience in the humanitarian sector in Ethiopia, but international consultants are welcomed.
We anticipate that there may be various scopes of work available throughout the FT Demand-Led innovation process exploring technologies for addressing identification and duplication challenges in humanitarian contexts in Ethiopia and we invite applications from technical experts who can potentially commit to a longer-term engagement with FT Hub demand-led exploration in Ethiopia.
